- The core elements of the 511.org website include the following:
• Traveler alerts, which are real-time,
• An interactive map, with traffic, transit, carpool, and biking information layers, some of which are real-time,
• Resources for traffic, transit, paratransit, clipper access, carpool, vanpool, bicycling, express lanes, and park ‘n ride lots, and
• Open data program resources for provision to the private sector.
- Key aspects of 511’s web infrastructure are as follows:
• The static elements of the 511.org website are built in Drupal and hosted on pantheon.
• The consultant will be responsible for managed hosting of the pantheon infrastructure in commission name.
• The google map integration is served via API, and utilizes static and real-time data provided from multiple sources.
• The google map integration will be sunset with the forthcoming 511.org redesign.
• The new map will be built using open street map.
• The real-time elements of the 511.org website are managed using a customized software as a service (SaaS) API gateway product built on the Tyk platform.
• The consultant will be responsible for the customized Tyk API gateway as a managed service in commission name.
