Websites Drupal and ACQUIA Migration Services

The Vendor is required to provide the current list of firms to develop six Drupal websites for department arts centers.
- All six sites will share a common Drupal template and component library but will have unique design systems that reflect each center’s identity.
- The sites will be built using the latest available version of Drupal as the development architecture, with the best compatibility of contributed modules used in the build.
- The sites will be hosted in Acquia. Sites will be developed using Acquia Site Studio and Acquia Cloud Platform accounts.
- This architecture will have a set of features that can be updated globally, minimizing maintenance time, while still allowing enough flexibility to allow customization for each separate site as part of the project or for future stages.
- Tasks will include a discovery phase resulting in a sitemap and baseline Drupal template structure; Setup Acquia Cloud and code repository; Drupal user guide and functional Drupal sites with their own design systems.
- Dedicated Hosting - A dedicated hosting service, dedicated server, or managed hosting service is a type of Internet hosting in which the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone else. This type of hosting is best suited for large websites with high traffic.
- Shared Hosting - Shared hosting plans are the most common choice for website owners. On this type of plan, a single server is shared among multiple users. That means a single computer (a shared server) will host several (or even hundreds of) websites. This option usually offers the minimum cost of getting websites up and running
- Virtual Private Server (VPS) Hosting - VPS works is that a single physical server will contain multiple virtually-partitioned sections. Each container, or VPS, acts as a full system devoted just to your site. So you get dedicated resources, and in some cases, access to that server’s configuration. This option requires more customizability than what shared hosting can offer or a bit more firepower.
- Cloud Hosting -Cloud hosting refers to distributed VPS, instead of having a virtual server stored on one computer, it’s hosted on a whole network of them. The advantage of this approach is that with a network, you can easily scale your server’s resources as needed. Plus, with cloud hosting, downtime is rarely an issue, nor is data loss thanks to the system’s built-in redundancy.
- Managed Hosting - provider takes care of a lot of the day-to-day maintenance tasks that would otherwise fall on your shoulders. Some of those tasks include backups, security monitoring, software updates, and more. This option usually comes with extra help with basic website maintenance.
- Websites hosted using contract services shall have a Services Agreement in place, and that agreement must be in accordance with City policies and guidelines.
- Each office department is required to log into the ServiceNow system, navigate to the Asset Module, and ensure the list of “Business Services” includes all of their websites. Each record should have entries in the ‘Version Status’, ‘Hosting Platform’, ‘Mobile Responsive’, ‘Cyber Secure’, and ‘Disaster Recovery’ fields.
- Developers shall take measures to secure websites from defacement or server attacks.
- City websites should follow standard design guidelines and incorporate user experience principles when designing a website. (Also see section 10 regarding ADA guidance).
- All activities related to the design and development of City websites must have approval from the appropriate authorities within the respective City department or office.
- Ensure that all websites and digital content are accessible to and usable by people with disabilities, including but not limited to those with motor, auditory, visual, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
- Confirm that Adobe Sign (e-signature platform) will fulfill your requirements or if your business process is so complex that you require a full Customer Relationship Management system.
