The Vendor is required to provide to modernize its public-facing website and provide ongoing digital support.
- The Zoo is interested in establishing either a one-time website rebuild or an ongoing digital partnership that includes rebuild, hosting, maintenance, and support.
- Website Modernization
• Website rebuild or modernization on WordPress; development of reusable templates, layouts, and content components; a minimum of twenty (20) core templates/pages/events; content migration and quality assurance; ongoing ability to create new pages and events during development without disruption; final launch and transition support.
• Content creation and rewriting may be handled by Zoo staff unless otherwise proposed.
• Solution must support integration with third-party systems currently in use by the Zoo, including event listings, ticketing, and webstore functionality.
• The Zoo currently uses Accesso for ticketing and ecommerce.
- Secure, managed hosting appropriate for a high-traffic public-facing website; regular backups and disaster recovery capability; security monitoring and updates; performance optimization and uptime monitoring; capacity to scale during peak visitation and major campaigns.
- The current Zoo website is built on WordPress.
- The site supports a high-traffic, public-facing audience with frequent content updates, events, campaigns, and seasonal peaks. Internal staff regularly publish pages, events, and campaign-related content.
