The Vendor is required to provide website and other digital experiences to be built on a single CMS platform and set a standard for user-friendly interface and proactive communication with the public.
- Lifespan:
• Our redesigned website should be designed to meet our needs for at least five (5) years. We hope this will be the last time airport has to transition our online content from one CMS to another, and that future website redesigns will be able to occur without needing to migrate content again.
- Passengers, businesses, visitors and others need to be able to:
• Easily locate flight and public information, documents, and services.
• Easily manage their alert preferences to receive email alerts for the news categories they wish to subscribe to.
• Quickly find the right answers and solutions for their questions and concerns.
- Comprehensive project consulting, implementation & maintenance
• Responsible for the full lifecycle of the website project, including strategic planning, design, development, implementation, selection and configuration of a CMS, recommendation and setup of hosting infrastructure, integration of third-party services, and estimation of all ongoing costs.
- Content
• Only new & approved content to be migrated: the site should only contain that content which has been reviewed for relevance, accuracy, and voice.
• Content approval & auditing: the CMS should include tools for reviewing, approving, and auditing content, as well as setting reminders to those with certain content roles when their content should be reviewed/updated next
- Workflow and user experience
• Organization the website content should be organized intuitively with concise menu designs to mitigate overwhelming options
• Search ability: all content should be highly searchable, with robust filtering, and excellent accuracy of search results.
• Mobile-first & device scaling: mobile-first design while scaling layouts for all screen widths.
• User journeys: deliver a positive user experience by focusing on a service-based user journey philosophy.
• Friendly urls: all pages should have friendly URLS.
• All pdf documents available through the website should also have friendly URLs, using the document name.
• Accessibility & translation: accessibility (web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards) and translation tools.
• Interactivity: interactive route destination maps, data dashboards, forms, etc. That can be easily updated by the airport marketing team.
