The Vendor is required to provide website design to redesign, develop, implement, host, maintain, and support the district's family of public websites.
- Discovery and strategic planning
• Conduct a comprehensive discovery and planning process to support the successful redesign, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the district’s websites.
• This process shall include, at a minimum, stakeholder interviews, review of existing websites, analysis of website analytics and user behavior, evaluation of current content and functionality, identification of opportunities to improve the customer experience, and development of a comprehensive project plan and implementation schedule.
- User experience and website design
• Improve the passenger, tenant, business partner, and customer journey through enhanced usability and clear access to information.
• Reduce the number of steps required to complete common tasks
• Reflect the district’s brand identity, standards, guidelines, and organizational values.
• Be fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Include intuitive and user-friendly terminal, real estate, and route maps that help users quickly locate gates, concessions, amenities, parking, ground transportation, available properties, development opportunities, and route destinations.
• Include the ability to insert forms and route submitted information to a database or other district-approved destination.
• Incorporate a user-friendly menu structure and search function that perform effectively on mobile devices.
• Support clear calls to action for frequently used services and high-priority information.
- Flexible content management system
• Support multiple users with configurable role-based permissions and workflow approvals.
• Allow district staff to easily modify homepage messaging, feature campaigns, announcements, alerts, and other time-sensitive content without disrupting the primary navigation, core website functionality, or overall customer experience.
• Provide version history and content revision capabilities.
• Support flexible page layouts, landing pages, forms, embedded multimedia, and future content enhancements
• Allow content to be scheduled for publication and expiration.
• Be scalable to accommodate future website enhancements, third-party integrations, and district business needs.
• Allow district staff to manage content across all applicable district websites in an efficient and consistent manner.
- Accessibility
• Compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
• Keyboard-only navigation.
• Alternative text for images
• Appropriate color contrast
• Resizable text.
• Accessible forms, documents, and downloadable content.
• Captions and transcripts for multimedia, where applicable.
• Clear heading structure.
• Descriptive links.
• Translation capabilities to support users with limited English proficiency.
• Testing to ensure an accessible and inclusive user experience for individuals with visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor disabilities.
- Content migration
• Inventory, migrate, optimize, and validate existing website content while preserving search engine rankings, redirects, and overall usability.
• Grant the district a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, maintain, modify, reproduce, and create derivative works from any contractor-owned materials incorporated works from any contractor-owned materials incorporated into the deliverables.
• District with all administrative credentials, source files, configurations, documentation, and data exports necessary for the continued operation, maintenance, and transition of the websites.
