Website Redesign and Migration Services

The Vendor is required to provide websites redesign and migration into a standardized WordPress environment that complies with WCAG 2.1 level AA accessibility standards and aligns with university IT, security, and branding requirements.
- WordPress network & initial template setup
• Configure WordPress multisite network within university infrastructure
• Establish reusable components and page layouts
• Ensure compatibility with university IT requirements
• Prior to approval and deployment of the base/template site, the contractor shall present the template for review by university stakeholders, including the web accessibility & SEO coordinator, to verify compliance with university requirements and accessibility standards.
• Provide access to the development environment and all template components for evaluation.
• Participate in review sessions with university stakeholders to assess design, navigation, usability, branding, and functionality.
• Support accessibility testing and validation conducted by the web accessibility & SEO coordinator to confirm the template has been developed to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA compliance requirements and applicable state and federal accessibility standards.
- Site deployment & setup for 10 sites
• Deploy and configure ten (10) WordPress sites within the multisite network using the approved base/template.
• Create site within the WordPress multisite network
• Apply approved template configuration
• Configure:
• Site branding/logo
• Navigation menus
• Homepage layout using template
• Customize site structure based on program needs
• Collaborate with each site owner/director.
- Content migration for 10 sites
• Assess existing sites and determine migration strategy (automated vs manual)
• Perform:
• Programmatic migration where feasible
• Manual content entry for incompatible content
• Map and migration:
• Pages and posts
• Custom post types
• Categories, tags, and taxonomies
• Integrate third-party tools and software connections
• Conduct:
• Content validation
• Quality assurance (QA)
• Display and formatting checks
• Site complexity may vary
• Customization beyond scope requires approval.
