The Vendor is required to provide web content management system (“CMS”) to take the place of the existing WordPress system currently used to manage the town’s public website, including transitioning to website as the primary domain URL.
- Requirement:
• Implement the town-approved UI/design direction in the selected CMS and migrate existing content into approved templates.
• Migrate WordPress content to the selected CMS, including page content, pdfs/documents, approved images, videos, links, redirects, and metadata
• Resolve any immediate broken WordPress pages during migration.
• Provide business-hours support Monday through Friday during town business hours. Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Provide emergency after-hours support for outages, security issues, and critical public information needs.
• Include CMS updates, security patches, and version upgrades in the maintenance contract.
• Implementation with a turn -key approach, including: system configurations; CMS users (20 -25); roles and permissions; departments and content types (10 -15); approval workflows and other necessary publish design aspects as needed; administrative users and roles for it system administrators, and setup for a couple limited access administrative users and roles.
• Provide role -based CMS training, including workflow approvals and compliancy checking, before launch.
• Project timeline covering UI/template review, migration, accessibility testing, training, approvals, and launch.
• URL redirect plan for migrated pages, documents, and major links.
• CMS shall include site structure and navigation menu editing tools, including the ability to add, edit, hide, show, reorder, remove, and link menu items.
• CMS shall include tools to find and update hyperlinks across pages, navigation, and CMS content areas
• CMS shall include tools to create and manage URL redirects, or vendor shall clarify how redirects are handled.
