- Consistent and unified design theme. Each section of the site should maintain a cohesive visual identity, including consistent branding, typography, headers, colors, spacing, and page layouts
- Be visually appearing and professionally designed. The site should include an appropriate balance of text, photos, videos, graphics and white space to create a clean, modern, and accessible user experience without visual clutter
- Provide effective navigational tools, include clear menu structures, navigation elements, shortcut links and “breadcrumb” navigation to improve usability and orientation throughout the site
- Allow for interactivity. The site should support online forms, surveys, feedback tools, meeting agenda access, email response functionality and other interactive features that improve public engagement and communication
- Support flexible growth and scalability. The website should be designed to accommodate future contect expansion, feature enhancements and evolving agency priorities
- Provide analytics and reporting capabilities, with detailed tracking requirements. The site should include user tracking and reporting tools that provide administrators with access to website analytics and visitor date
- Maintain accessibility and compliance standards. The website should comply with current ADA accessibility requirements and applicable web standards including WCAG guidelines where appropriate
