- Authority has a number of vacant properties comprised of single apartments within a complex, detached housing buildings and high-rise locations.
- These vacant properties have experienced a high rate of break-ins of intruders for vandalism, theft, unauthorized occupation or other illicit actions.
- Agency is taking measures to ensure that these properties are adequately secured.
- The entrance must be lockable and keyless releasable internally. A peephole should be fitted to assist in safe exiting.
- The surface of the exterior protective device shall have a protective decorative finish to prevent corroding and allow graffiti removal.
- Entrances must be secured with multi-point locking system and a high security lock with a key restricted section.
- Door locks shall be approved mechanical locks with a minimum of 1000 differs or with self-powered digitally code locks with minimum of 3000 differs.
- Security devices and component parts must be quality controlled through a system of inspection procedures, maintenance programs and on-site quality management monitoring.
- All installed devices must not cause damage to the structure of the building.
