The vendor required to provide security services to this building will host a new low-barrier housing first supportive housing program that offers continuous, 24/7 support and supervision.
• A separate entity, the housing first supportive housing services operator will be present 24 hours per day providing direct participant support.
• Participants in the program will be individuals who may be actively facing challenges such as mental health issues, substance use, trauma, or other complex needs.
• Participants are able to participate this program as long as their needs require, with a long-term objective of supporting them to integrate into more independent living.
- Staffing requirements:
• Daily – 8pm to 8am – 1 security personnel required
- Security coverage includes:
• Monitoring of the perimeter
• Monitoring of all access points to the site.
• Monitoring common areas
• Monitoring any other identified areas on site
• Monitoring camera system at all times.
• Utilizing 2-way radio systems.
• Inspections as required, including responding to alarms.
• Keeping records using checklists and forms provided by corporation.
- Reporting:
• Daily reporting provided to the corporation manager of outreach services through incident log system.
• Daily communication with the housing first supportive housing services operations manager and staff.
