The vendor is required to provide janitorial services on a daily basis to destruction bay health center, including (but not limited to) collecting and disposing of garbage and waste paper, washing furniture/office surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming, washing floors, and cleaning all bathrooms.
- Foyers, waiting areas, rooms, offices (open and enclosed areas), corridors, meeting and conference rooms, common areas, stairways, coffee/lunch areas, libraries, storage areas and clinic rooms
• Empty waste baskets/containers, damp wipe; use plastic liners and replace regularly
dust and damp clean furniture, fixtures, glass, furniture tops, dust and damp clean all chair framing and trim,
• Vinyl, plastic, wood and leather covered chairs x
• Dust window sills, partition ledges, baseboards and all other horizontal ledges below 2 meters, including chalkboard legs
• Sweep, dust mop and damp wash all floors other than carpet, hard surfaced stairs, and landings using a dust control method.
• Vacuum and spot clean all carpeted areas including stairs and mats, move all light furniture other than desks and screens, cabinets.
• Damp mop the desk t mats
• Wipe down and spot clean and remove smudges from walls, door, wood work, glass partitions and similar surfaces
• Clean and polish all metal work
• Wash and sanitize with germicidal detergent solutions, all counter tops including splash backs, exposed plumbing and sinks.
• Restock toweling, were there are dispensers, wash dishes in staff area
• Dust polished surfaces e.g., chrome, stainless steel, brass and similar finishes-such as door knobs, push bars, kick plates, handrails, railings, doors.
• Clean and policy where applicable
• Clean stove, fridge and oven (yearly) in staff area
- Washroom facilities
• All public and private washrooms. clean with germicidal detergent, wash basins, showers and plumbing fixtures, including exposed pipes; polish chrome, brass or similar.
• Clean and disinfect toilet bowls, seats and urinals (including exterior surfaces), clean basins/bed pans that are in shower stalls
• Empty, damp wipe and sanitize sanitary product and sanitary disposals; polish bright work; remove and replace liners.
• Fill or restock toilet tissue holders, soap dispensers, towel dispensers, sanitary napkin dispensers, etc. all dispensers required are to be supplied and installed by owner.
• Wipe clean, using disinfectant, all toilet tissue, soap, towel, paper cup and sanitary napkin receptacles.
• requisition and stock cleaning and washroom supplies.
• Wipe down all partitions and walls including enamel surfaces, doors, ledges, using proper disinfectant. wash and polish all mirrors, frames, powder shelves and bright work, including flush-o-meters, piping and toilet seat hinges
• Wet mop floors with disinfectant detergent solution, including basis; ensure floor drains are not blocked and disinfect traps
- Stairways
• Wash handrails, railings, balusters. wet mop hard surfaced stairs.
- All floors (hard surfaced)
• All floors (hard surfaced) e.g., vinyl asbestos tile, sheet vinyl, terrazzo, ceramic. this does not include carpet.
• Prepare floor for spray buff system of maintenance or an acceptable alternative that gives the same results.
• Spray buff all surfaces as required.
• Spray buff traffic lanes and refinish by spray buffing traffic areas and reapply floor finish in acceptable amounts.
• Remove all floor finish, seal with two (2) coats and refinish with six coats of floor finish or an acceptable alternative that gives the same results.
• Scrub and refinish all washroom floors.
• Areas inaccessible to machine are to be hand cleaned.
• Proposed cleaning agents shall be checked before use for potential damage to floors.
• Washrooms to be maintained by scrub and refinish method.
• Ceramic flooring to be sealed with solvent base sealer
- Walls and door frames
• Doors, frames, glass partitions, transoms and other fixtures and fittings attached to walls. (Window frames, melding).
• Door grills.
• Dust and wash all washable surfaces.
• Washable surfaces include vinyl, sealed and painted surfaces.
• The owner will determine whether a surface is washable prior to commencement of cleaning work.
• Wash all interior glass partitions
- Venetian blinds
• Dust weekly and remove completely and wash as needed
- High cleaning
• Vertical surfaces other than walls, high cleaning to window sills, partition ledges. horizontal surfaces above 2 meters from floor, door frame ledges and similar, picture frames, charts, graphs and similar, wall louvres, exposed pipes, clocks.
- Furniture, cabinets and file cabinets
• Furniture, cabinets, bookcases, cupboards, file cabinets.
• Wash and polish vinyl and/or leather upholstered furniture.
• Vacuum fabric upholstered furniture, wash curtains as needed
- Light fixtures and air diffusers
• Dust, including ceiling areas around diffusers.
• Wash complete fixtures or diffusers (annually).
• Clean out light fixtures as required.
• Replace bulbs as needed
- Window cleaning
• Wash windows inside (spot clean) and outside (semi-annually).
• Interior and exterior to be washed twice per year
- Storage areas
• Sweep floors.
• Clean light fixtures, overhead beams, ledges, pipes and similar
- Janitors rooms
• Janitor’s rooms, utility rooms, paper and garbage rooms.
• Damp mop floors.
• Wash and disinfect garbage containers after emptying.
• Wash and disinfect sinks.
- Clinic rooms
• Special cleaning with disinfectant cleaner is required, in addition to the regular cleaning.
• Sweep and wash all clinic room floors with virox cleaner daily.
• Wash, sinks, faucets, countertops.
• Door knobs, light switches, table surfaces, chair seats and arms, desk tops, telephone handsets and phone pads and handles with disinfecting cleaner daily.
• Wipe down exam table and surrounding wall surfaces with virox cleaner daily.
• Wipe down baby scales, wash plastic toys in rooms and waiting area, wipe down all containers on counter tops.
• Clean bed mattress and stretcher mattress with disinfectant, remake mattress if it has been stripped, this includes pillow cases
- Clinic equipment and instruments
• Cleaning and disinfecting per written instructions provided
- Laundry
• Clinic laundry which includes items such as: patient gowns, sheet, huck towel, surgical wraps, blankets, dish cloths & towels, linen cupboard should be maintained in an orderly fashion
- Outside areas
• Landscaping, lawns, rockeries, walkways and driveways should be free of garbage and debris, pick up and dispose of, hose down twice per summer (may-September)
- Winter service
• Walkways and entrances need to have snow and ice removed by 06:00am and 08:00am, pellets or sand are to be sprinkled on the pedestrian walk way.
