The Vendor is required to provide general legal services to the Town.
- Act as legal counsel for the town board of trustees.
- Provide expert opinion and guidance to the town in the areas of, but not limited to, rules and regulations, state or federal laws, and keep the board of trustees informed regarding any legislative matters or changes that may affect the town.
- Review, draft and negotiate bonds, contracts and leases.
- Provide expert advice on legal issues, such as:
• Review personnel, fiscal and other policies, as well as by-laws.
• Attend board meetings, as necessary, in person or by video conference, to provide legal assistance.
• Advice on government grant, land use and contract issues.
• Advise on responses to subpoenas, court orders, and requests for information from third parties.
• Open Records Requests.
• Other legal services as needed.
