Legal Federal Government Counsel Services

The Vendor is required to provide specialized legal counsel to provide compliance analysis, risk assessment, and legal representation to ensure the city's operations, policies, and federally funded programs comply with applicable federal requirements.
- This engagement is specifically focused on legal compliance matters affecting transportation infrastructure, affordable housing programs, and economic development initiatives that receive or may receive federal funding.
- Desired Outcomes
•    To provide legal analysis and guidance on federal regulatory compliance requirements affecting city operations and federally funded programs.
•    To conduct compliance risk assessments for existing city policies, procedures, and programs to identify potential federal law violations or funding jeopardization.
•    To review and revise city policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with federal requirements and to minimize legal exposure.
•    To provide legal counsel during federal audits, investigations, or enforcement actions affecting the city.
•    To monitor federal legal developments (legislation, regulations, executive orders, case law) and advise the city attorney's office of compliance implications.
•    To ensure the city maintains eligibility for existing federal funding and meets compliance requirements for future federal grant applications.
