The vendor required to provide labor counsel legal services for any labor matters arising during the contract term from February 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027 with an optional one-year renewal through January 31, 2028.
- Report to the board of trustees on status of labor negotiations.
- Provide advice and counsel on personnel and employment issues including union grievance and unfair labor practices as requested.
- Upon request by the college, handle labor related litigation, either directly as trial counsel or as liaison to insurance retained counsel, for matters covered by any applicable liability insurance.
- Advise and alert senior management regarding how existing and proposed labor related legislation may affect current and emerging business and policy decision of the college.
- Prompt availability and fully accessible at all times for college senior management, including telephone, in-office and on campus meetings.
- Provide labor costing of proposals and counterproposals, and present to college senior management the financial impact of economic components.
- Much of the desired service requires particular expertise in higher education faculty related matters.
