Delinquent Tax Attorney Services

The Vendor is required to provide delinquent property tax collection services within the taxing area of the college, on behalf of the college district.
- Services:
•    Perform all necessary services required to collect delinquent taxes, including penalty fees and interest, while ensuring that the process is carried out in an accurate, ethical, and lawful manner.
•    Assist in delinquent collections as authorized under sections 6.30 and 33.07 of the property tax code.
•    Other services may be requested of the firm related to delinquent ad valorem property tax matters.
•    Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in filing and processing delinquent tax collection claims.
•    Must have at least five (5) years of experience in delinquent tax collection.
•    Must be licensed by the state as a licensed attorney(s) to perform legal services and conform to the highest ethical standards of attorney practices and or professional services.
- The designated tax collection entity for each county shall furnish all necessary tax information to the awarded firm. The awarded firm shall determine the name, identity and location of necessary parties and procure necessary legal descriptions of property and recover the costs of obtaining such information.
- Prepare and send notices to delinquent taxpayers to foreclose tax liens and otherwise facilitate collection of delinquent taxes.
- Serve as an authorized agent of agency in conducting a taxable value audit.
- Provide a website and posts tax sale property listings for the benefit of the public and provide Internet accessible property tax sales and resale information over the Internet.
