Professional Legal Services

The vendor required to provide professional legal services related to water rights, including consultation, permitting, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, participation in legal proceedings, attendance at hearings, and review of legislation affecting water rights and supply.
- Requirement:
•    Providing consultation and management services regarding water rights issues. 
•    Assistance with permitting and regulatory matters related to water rights at the state and federal levels. 
•    Negotiation of water contracts. 
•    Participation in evidentiary proceedings or litigation that impact water-related issues. 
•    Attending administrative hearings concerning water rights issues. 
•    Analyzing proposed legislation and regulations that may affect the city’s water rights or water supply.
•    Provide, at no additional cost to the city, a minimum of three hours per year of continuing legal education (CLE) instruction for the legal department.
