The Vendor is required to provide legal services to assist the office in evaluating and pursuing potential litigation pertaining to alleged liability by gambling platforms.
- Provide legal services to assist the office in evaluating, investigating, and litigating claims against Gambling Platforms or others that may have engaged in unlawful conduct associated with operating or hosting a platform enabling, facilitating, promoting, brokering, or providing the technical means to place, accept, transmit, or settle, Gambling transactions.
- Depending on the legal theories pursued, the Attorney General may assert claims in his own constitutional capacity or as counsel for different state officers, agencies, or entities may have claims for relief.
- The Lead Counsel and one or more other Litigation Team attorneys are expected to be counsel of record in the individual Gambling Cases, and the Offeror will have primary responsibility for all litigation functions, like drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and trying or settling cases, and handling appeals.
