The Vendor is required to provide legal services on any or all the following matters:
• Matters requiring general board of education legal services.
• Matters of employment law and collective bargaining.
• Matters pertaining to special education.
- Labor relations
• The firm selected for labor relations counsel including but not limited to negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, will be expected to advise and consult with the administration and board as required to plan, present, and review proposals and to prepare associated documents as required.
• The firm selected for labor relations counsel will be expected to represent the board at all levels and stages of negotiations as may be required during the process of collective bargaining.
• The firm selected for labor relations counsel will guide the district in all matters pertaining to employment, employee discipline, seniority tenure, civil services, and personnel administration matters.
• The firm may be asked to present “in service” and other educations programs and seminar workshops for staff as necessary, covering the subject matter of its representation.
