The vendor is required to provide outside legal counsel services may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Providing legal advice and determinations regarding the freedom of information act (FOIA), including compliance guidance and response to records requests.
• Labor and employment law matters, including civil service issues, personnel policies, and employment-related disputes.
• Advising elected officials and city administration on legal matters affecting municipal operations.
• Providing legal support to city boards, commissions, and committees, including attendance at meetings as requested.
• Drafting and reviewing ordinances, resolutions, policies, contracts, and other municipal documents.
• Representation of the city in administrative proceedings and hearings.
• Litigation services, including representation in state or federal court, as requested.
• Advising on risk management and litigation avoidance strategies.
• Providing other municipal legal services as requested by the city.
