The Vendor is required to provide legal counsel services for include:
• Governance: in-person attendance (as requested by the district clerk, district superintendent (“ds”), deputy superintendent, or assistant board counsel) at board of education meetings; weekly zoom or in-person (as requested) attendance at cabinet meetings at carrier educational center.
• Labor relations: handle internal e2ccb labor issues, investigations, negotiations, and grievance responses.
• Documentation: develop memorandums of agreement (MOAS); review and revise as necessary all internal contracts, counseling memos and board of education policies.
• Internal support: provide legal opinions on procedural questions; design and deliver internal legal training as needed and requested by e2ccb ds or deputy superintendent.
• Personnel: oversee and conduct internal investigations as required.
• Liaison: work directly with the executive director of human resources, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction (“ASI”), deputy superintendent, and ds.
• Travel: travel to multiple e2ccb locations as needed for investigations or meetings (pre-scheduled).
