The Vendor is required to provide legal services of the center are designed to primarily assist low to moderate income individuals who ordinarily could not afford an attorney.
- Requirement:
• Family law component will continue to function by providing onsite and remote legal consultation sessions on family law matters to include assistance with the completion of paperwork for purposes of filing with the county superior and office.
• Senior services component will function in a similar way to the family law component in which assistance and information would be provided to seniors (age 60 and over) who wish to educate themselves on legal issues underlying the elder population, such as wills and probate (estate planning and guardianship), landlord and tenant issues (evictions), federal and state benefits (Medicaid, Medicare, social security), fraud and elder abuse, and grandparents rights.
• Experiencing a significant increase in demand for family law assistance, resulting in extended wait times for patrons seeking legal consultation.
• On-site legal consultations one day per week, with each session lasting thirty minutes.
• Increase availability of thirty-minute legal consultation sessions from one day to two days per week.
• Introduce an additional onsite attorney day dedicated specifically to answering general legal questions that do not require a full thirty-minute consultation.
• Provide domestic law and senior legal services updates to center manager and staff as needed but no less than once per month.
