Inmate Communication Services

The vendor is required to provide current inmate communication system, which includes both tablets and phones, is provided by securus.
- The system provides the inmates with opportunities to utilize entertainment and learning applications through the tablet device to enhance their skills and knowledge while incarcerated.
- The tablets provide phone, text, and messaging services so that they may stay in contact with family, loved ones and friends.
- The tablets provide emergency connector services in the event an inmate requires immediate medical or mental health attention.
- Services include:
• Inmate kiosks, and wall mount systems (tablet kiosks)
• Inmate telephone system: yard, wall, cordless
• Emergency services:
1. Americans with disability act (ADA) functionality
2. Emergency call button
3. Prison rape elimination act (PREA) hotline
4. Mental health
5. Custom calling numbers
• Inmate tablets (personal and community)
• Security platform for phone monitoring
• Video connect or equivalent
• Electronic messaging (digital messaging)
• Electronic cards
• Video grams or equivalent
• Real-time texting
• Electronic charging carts
• Job search
• Law library
• Interface with the commissary supplier for ease of ordering
• Automation of forms, grievance process, and agreements
• Facility services:
• Ability to share posts and notices by agency staff
• FM receiver
• TV audio
• Podcasts (topics including but not limited to business, parenting, anger management)
• Clock and calculator
• Education platform:
1. Lantern and or equivalent
2. Edovo and or equivalent
• Religious programming including by not limited to texts, education materials, and podcasts.
• Entertainment:
1. Media center
2. Music
3. Games
4. Movies
5. Shows
6. E-books
7. News stand or equivalent
• Re-entry applications
• Self-help applications
• Integration services to establish functional operations between:
1. Commissary ease of ordering.

1. Video relay services (VRS) solutions
2. American Sign Language (ASL):
○ Video remote interpreting (VRI), and real-time captioning
• Mail scanning, including contraband detection (optional)
• Translation services, the ability to translate content into different languages.
• Network as a service: any additional network capacity may be used by agency.
