The Vendor is required to provide to develop and execute a robust, inclusive, and innovative public engagement strategy to support the update of the county's comprehensive plan.
- Core Objectives
• Facilitate broad public input, including discussions with the boards and the general public.
• Develop a public participation plan that includes in-person sessions, online public solicitation, use of questionnaires and other tools to have the greatest sampling of input from across the County.
• Promote equity and access by reaching underserved urban and rural populations.
• Foster public trust through transparent, consistent communication.
• Leverage technology, especially online survey tools, and social media, for accessible engagement.
- Project Management and Reporting
• Work with County staff to develop a strategy to gather input from a list of stakeholders provided to the chosen Consultant.
• Provide monthly progress reports, which include engagement metrics, completed activities, and a list of upcoming events.
• Participate in periodic check-in meetings with County staff.
- Digital Engagement
• Support County staff in implementing online surveys and develop feedback for social media and online outreach.
• Create a content calendar in coordination with the County's social media and marketing staff.
• Develop social media content (posts, short videos, reels, polls).
• Provide information and content to County staff as part of a planned "You Asked, We Answered" series.
• Develop youth-targeted content and campaigns (e.g., Instagram story takeovers).
- Equity and Accessibility
• Ensure all engagement efforts and materials are ADA-compliant and accessible.
• Use plain language and culturally appropriate visuals in all materials.
• Track equity indicators and adapt outreach strategies to improve outcomes.
