• Advise on current and/or future enterprise initiatives that advance the University's Strategic Plan through 2030
• Develop both internal and external executive communications strategies and messaging for the Chancellor and senior leadership.
• Provide both internal and external strategic counsel for stakeholder engagement, public affairs, and executive visibility.
• Lead issues management, crisis communications planning, media relations strategy, and executive media training for internal stakeholders.
• Protect and strengthen the University's reputation through proactive communications planning.
- Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Communications
• Lead or support enterprise marketing strategy across the University, including Enrollment, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Athletics, Advancement, Foundation, and other institutional priorities.
• Ensure integrated marketing planning, brand consistency, and alignment across schools, colleges, and administrative units.
• Serve as the University's strategic brand steward, providing oversight for brand positioning, messaging, visual identity, and institutional reputation.
- Organizational Leadership & Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) Development
• Assess and strengthen the departmental/operational/functional effectiveness of the Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) organization.
• Recommend organizational structure, governance, operational improvements, and performance measures.
• Provide executive coaching, leadership development, and mentorship for marketing and communications leadership.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, transition, and ongoing coaching for the Chief Marketing Officer or equivalent executive leadership position.
