RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide comprehensive parking assessment services for include:
a. Evaluate space allocation:
• Assess the current distribution of parking spaces among various user groups (students, faculty, staff, visitors) to ensure optimal utilization.
• Identify any imbalances or inefficiencies and recommend adjustments to better meet the needs of all user groups.
b. Analyze permit pricing structures:
• Review the existing pricing structure for parking permits and compare it with market trends and best
practices.
• Propose adjustments to the pricing strategy to align with institutional goals, such as revenue generation, demand management, and affordability.
c. Assess permit styles:
• Evaluate the current types of parking permits (e.g., hang tags, window permits, bumper stickers) and their effectiveness in managing parking access.
• Suggest improvements or alternative permit styles to enhance usability, security, and compliance.
d. Review enforcement strategies:
• Examine the current enforcement policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
• Recommend strategies to enhance compliance, such as updated ticketing procedures, conflict resolution training, and the use of technology for monitoring and enforcement.
e. Event parking strategies:
• Evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of current event parking pricing structures across all campuses, including benchmarking with local market rates.
• Assess the current allocation and utilization of parking resources during events, including lot assignment strategies, demand management, and the impact on regular campus operations.
f. Future parking planning:
• Provide high-level recommendations for future parking needs that consider anticipated campus growth and evolving transportation trends, while acknowledging that a comprehensive campus master plan update is currently underway and detailed projections may not yet be available.
• Explore opportunities for integrating emerging technologies, such as ai-driven parking management
systems, smart sensors, and automated parking solutions.
• Propose sustainability initiatives, such as the use of renewable energy sources, led lighting, and ecofriendly materials in parking facilities. - Contract Period/Term: 1 year
