The vendor is required to provide digital photolog survey and data collection for select paved
public roads (approximately 4,800 lane miles annually) on the islands.
- The photolog survey shall provide high definition (HD) progressive scan digital color images at every 10.56 feet or two thousandth (.002) mile, or five hundred (500) images from each camera per mile and the associated roadway feature data extracted from lidar of the designated roadways along with 3d base maps of the designated roadways. simultaneously, the contractor shall perform a pavement condition survey collecting international roughness index (IRI), rutting, faulting and pavement distresses using 2d digital pavement scan images with a 3d laser based automated pavement condition assessment system for mapping the length, width and depth of cracks and for classifying the distresses.
- This project shall include the following components:
• Mobilization, management, and training
• Digital photolog images
• Coordinates, distances and geometry of roadway
• Pavement condition databases and reports
• Lidar and roadway asset features databases
• Roadside rating assessment report
• Base maps
• Data submission for approval
• Department verification of data
• Data collection systems calibration and testing
• Software and licenses
• Software training.
