The vendor is required to provide intelligent transportation systems (ITS) data communication devices systems and devices are needed to establish and extend communications to its devices in the field including dynamic message signs, closed circuit television cameras, detector stations, ramp meters, traffic signals, portable changeable message signs and other devices operated and maintained by agency.  
- The systems and devices procured under this contract must integrate with existing communications networks and traffic management systems operated by agency.
- These systems and devices will be procured and utilized statewide by operations staff including traffic management center (TMC) and regional engineers, electricians and technicians.
- The cellular communications device shall offer as options multiple Ethernet interfaces, and as an option, GPS output.
- Optional configurations may be bid as separate add-ons or features under separate bid items.
- The cellular communications device shall support several network standards for the cellular network interface (need not to be simultaneously supported on a single device but shall be backwards compatible with 3g, 2g and lower standards), including:
- LTE
- CDMA (base 14.4 kilobit rate)
- CDMA 1xrtt
- CDMA EVDO
- The cellular communications device shall have a unique IP address
- The IP address shall be accessible from within agency networks (with proper router/firewall connection)
- GPS (optional configuration)
• The cellular communications device shall support an optional addition of a GPS antenna.

• The cellular communications device shall support as an option support a minimum of 4 Ethernet inputs for multiple state devices
- Antenna
• The cellular communication device must support the addition of an external, mountable antenna (paid for separately) to improve wireless reception.
- Management software provide centralized management software with each cellular communications device.
• The management software must be capable of managing the device configuration, monitoring overall device status, and remotely installing switch firmware.
• The management software is to be provided to the department at no additional cost.
