The vendor is required to provide consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive assessment of its intercollegiate athletics program.
- This initiative is aimed at ensuring alignment with institutional goals, financial sustainability, competitive positioning, and positive student-athlete experience.
a. Program review
• Analyze organizational structure, staffing, and resource allocation in light of competitor institutions and industry best practices.
• Assess current sport offerings in the context of enrollment, demographics, equity, NCAA and conference requirements, and regional/national trends.
• Evaluate current and future contest scheduling and opportunities.
b. Financial assessment
• Review operating budgets, revenue streams (e.g., ticket sales, sponsorships, fundraising), and cost structures.
• Benchmark university athletics finances against peer and competitor institutions.
• Assess current student-athlete revenue opportunities and support (e.g., nil, Alston, cost of attendance, etc.) and help develop plan for house settlement implementation and beyond.
c. Facilities and infrastructure
• Assess current, planned, and future capital projects.
• Provide recommendations for resource optimization.
d. Strategic recommendations
• Provide a final report with short- and long-term recommendations that cover all areas required in this document and any additional items proposed and accepted during the RFP process.
