RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide that consultant services for facilities management and university, nationally preeminent public research university with locations in albuquerque, largest metropolitan area branch and satellite campuses across the state.

-Project overview
•Operational efficiency and consolidation:
oBuild upon the assessment recently completed, focusing on the operations and impact of relocating further from campus.
oFurther identify opportunities to reduce duplication and streamline workflows.
oEvaluate alternate methodologies that support the increased distance as well as workflows to streamline operations.
•Facilities programming, planning, and space utilization:
oDetermine space requirements for the new facility for all users within the project area, considering current and future needs.
oDevelop efficient layouts and workflows tailored to the operational model
•Site selection:
oEvaluate pre-identified relocation sites.
oRecommend the most suitable site based on accessibility, cost, infrastructure, timing and alignment with university goals.
•Implementation Roadmap:
oDevelop a roadmap for rapid transition from planning to construction, ensuring minimal disruption to services
-Consultant will be responsible for completing the following tasks:
•Operational assessment:
oBuild upon the assessment recently completed to provide recommendations to improve operations, workflows, and resource use.
oIdentify functions that could benefit from alternative methodologies.
•Space planning and consolidation:
oCreate a detailed program for all users within the project area’s space requirements, incorporating opportunities for efficiency. we will exist differently than how we exist today.
oProvide recommendations for layout and operational flow, ensuring efficiency despite the new location.
•Supply chain and methodology review:
oEvaluate warehousing or inventory functions and whether this is something that should remain on campus or through vendors.
oDevelop strategies to minimize service delays from the new site.
•Site selection:
oAnalyze up to 3 potential sites for suitability, including infrastructure, accessibility, and costs.
oProvide detailed pros and cons for each site with a final recommendation using an agreed upon set of criteria to evaluate each.
•Conceptual design and roadmap:
oDeliver conceptual designs for the new facilities, including site layout and operational flow.
•Cost estimates:
oEstimate costs for all project elements that will be required to build new facilities and relocate to preferred site, including infrastructure and impacts to other
