RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide that consultation and training services for include:
• To provide strategic consultation for the development and implementation toward the promotion, enactment, and sustainability of all programming and services at the indigenous lifeways center (ILC).
• Create and facilitate a culturally appropriate ILC model and curriculum that will include a schedule of activities, topics, materials, qualified providers and designated partnerships; this will include
a. Community-wide professional capacity-building and culturally responsive trainings at ILC
b. Provide community-wide support and consultation services regarding all ILC initiatives and resources
c. Individual and group educational programming and activities which includes transportation, if necessary
d. Other relevant services that support ILC’S mission and vision
• Engage all individuals and families community-wide at ILC to include
a. in-school and out-of-school aps students
b. Families in agency and surrounding communities
c. District-wide agency leadership and staff
d. Specific tribal, pueblo and native nation partners
e. Appropriate community resource service organizations
• Culturally appropriate approaches to addressing holistic well-being and wellness
a. Engaging individuals and community through indigenized models of care to promote all the tenets of holistic well-being and wellness through collaborative partnerships with community health and wellness organizations to create appropriate levels of care to address physical, social, mental, emotional, and cultural needs
• Seasonal classroom, land and traditional home-based learning and education through indigenous foundational knowledge
a. Indigenizing to create cultural spaces, immersive and experiential learning
b. Promote knowledge and awareness with the environment and natural resources focused on relational interdependence through traditional knowledge curricula that includes
i. Subsistence lifeway hands-on activities through indigenized ecology centered on earth, natural elements, plants, animals, trees, etc.
c. Specific, seasonally and culturally appropriate, community-oriented activities and gatherings that promote culture, wellness, and well-being
- Workshops, events and consultation module examples can include but are not limited to the following:
• Face to face
• Online (via online communication platforms such as zoom or google meets)
• Using video/media platforms to conduct live or pre-tapped videos, films, and other media activities
• Facilitated school visits
• Facilitated visits to indigenous lifeways center
• Focus groups
• Book studies
- Interested offerors shall provide the following:
• Philosophical approach, including evidence-based practices.
• Types of workshops, events, and consultation offered, including for differentiated role groups.
• Training, professional development, consultation aligns with district goals, prioritized needs established by tribal leaders and the articulated vision for the indigenous lifeways center.
• The workshop, events, and consultation modules align with best practice for indigenous youth, families and communities including collaborative education and instructional models as well as language and culture integration and experiential learning/project-based learning
• Provide information about experience with innovative indigenous programming development
• Information of current and/or past clients that you provided training/professional development and consultation, specifically any work with pre-k-12 public schools, including a brief description of the district, time period and outcomes. specifically cite work with public school districts similar to size and larger, and with student/community representation similar to aps.
• List any work done in partnership with other organizations/entities within work with a pre-k-12 institution.
• Assigned personnel to aps that will be part of the training/professional development/ consultation team.
• Include resume or cv for each individual.
