The vendor is required to provide court reporting and transcription services, which may include but is not limited to depositions; arbitration hearings; judicial hearings, administrative hearings, public hearings, conferences and conventions.
- The contractor’s services may also be required via telephone conference or video conference.
- Transcription services purchased from this contract may be part of the above-mentioned court reporting or may be purchased separately.
- Transcription services:
• Completion time and estimated total cost will be negotiated between the department and the contractor prior to each assignment.
• Pickup and delivery will be agreed upon prior to each assignment.
- Court reporting services:
• Will be performed "on-site" at the location indicated by the requesting department and may be required at virtually any time and in any location within the commonwealth
- If legislation is enacted that governs the court reporting and/or transcription industries in the commonwealth, the contract will be amended to adhere to the legislation.
- All contractors will be subject to additional reference checks, including tax compliance and CORI checks, during the life of the department contract, user departments may have a second court reporter and transcriber assess the accuracy of the primary contractor without notice.
