RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide a comprehensive digital credentialing platform to recognize and showcase the achievements of both teachers and students.
- This platform will provide a secure and verifiable way to issue, manage, and share digital credentials, including those containing digital content and metadata for compatibility with external platform.
- Implement a user-friendly digital credentialing system accessible to all teachers and students in schools.
- Provide a mechanism for issuing digital credentials that recognize a wide range of achievements, including professional development, coursework, skills mastery, and extracurricular activities.
- Enable the inclusion of digital content within credentials, such as evidence of learning, project artifacts, and multimedia presentations.
- Ensure credentials include rich metadata that allows for easy sharing and verification on other platforms, including digital wallets and social media.
- Empower schools to create and manage its own digital content and credentials, aligning with district curriculum standards and professional development goals.
- Platform provisioning: provide a robust and scalable digital credentialing platform that meets the functional and technical requirements outlined by schools.
- Content management:
• Platform-generated content: the platform should include a library of pre-made content, such as courses, learning modules, and assessments that users can access to earn badges.
• School-generated content: schools will also create its own content, such as courses, learning modules, and assessments.
• This will allow schools to tailor content to the specific needs of its teachers and students.
• Content management: the platform should provide tools and features that enable both the platform provider and schools to create, store, and manage digital content associated with credentials.
- Credential design and issuance: facilitate the design and issuance of visually appealing and informative digital credentials that align with schools branding guidelines.
- Metadata integration: ensure credentials include comprehensive metadata that conforms to industry standards and enables seamless transfer to external platforms.
- Data security and privacy: guarantee the security and privacy of user data and comply with all relevant data protection regulations.
- Training and support: provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to schools staff and users on the effective use of the platform.
- Content accessibility:
• The platform should ensure that all content is accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities.
• The platform should provide tools and features that allow users to customize their learning experience, such as the ability to adjust font sizes, colors, and contrast.
- Digital content integration: the platform must support the inclusion of various digital content formats within credentials, including documents, images, videos, and presentations.
- Metadata standards: credentials must include metadata that conforms to open standards (e.g., open badges) and allows for easy import into digital wallets and other platforms.
- Customizable credentials: the platform should provide templates and tools for designing visually appealing credentials that reflect the schools brand and specific achievement types.
- Content authoring tools: offer user-friendly tools for creating and managing digital content associated with credentials.
- User roles and permissions: provide granular control over user roles and permissions to ensure data security and appropriate access levels.
