The Vendor is required to provide destruction services provide secure disposal of physical and/or digital documents by methods such as permanently shredding and securely erasing or physically destroying digital storage media.
- Category within each specified Geographic Area, for each of the following two (2) Contract Categories:
• Contract Category 1 – On/Off-Site Digital Storage Media Destruction.
• Contract Category 2 – On/Off-Site Paper Destruction and Purging
- Services will promptly notify the Purchaser of any service disruptions or delays.
• Contractor is responsible for meeting the pre-determined service schedules and all costs and risk of loss associated with same.
• Contractor shall provide the appropriate size and number of secure containers to each purchaser’s facility requesting service under the contract.
• Each container shall contain a drop-slot, have a capacity that is suitable for the needs of the purchaser, and have a key-locked or combination dead bolt.
• Each container shall be placed in the location requested by the purchaser, provided that placement is in accordance with applicable fire codes; all containers shall be provided free of charge.
• Contractor shall provide locked, security containers that are prominently labeled, for the offsite destruction of digital media (computer tapes, discs, x-rays, hard drives, etc.).
• The same chain of custody requirements applies for on-site document destruction, off-site document destruction, and off-site digital media destruction and all will require the issuance of a certificate of destruction.
