The vendor is required to provide diving program served 532 participants in learn-to-dive classes and competitive diving.
- The individual centers have the following diving equipment:
• Germantown indoor swim center – two one-meter springboards, two three-meter springboards, a tower with five-meter, seven-meter, and ten-meter platforms.
• Kennedy Shriver aquatic center (closed until 2026) – two (2) one-meter springboards, two (2) three-meter springboards, a tower with three-meter, five-meter, seven-meter, and ten-meter platforms, a stand-alone dryland room with dry boards, harnesses, trampolines, and workout mats.
• Martin Luther king, jr. swim center – two (2) one-meter springboards, one (1) three-meter springboard.
• Olney swim center – one (1) one-meter springboard, one (1) three-meter springboard.
• Silver spring recreation and aquatic center – two (2) one-meter springboards, two (2) three-meter springboards
- Provide a learn-to dive program for all ages.
- This program shall be held in groups to teach the basics to advanced skills of diving.
- Provide a competitive diving program for all ages.
- This program shall be held in groups to advance the skill of divers to aid in their competitive events.
- The contractor will handle the management of the diving program and report to the aquatics team of the recreation department.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
