The Vendor is required to provide employee uniform and custodial material rental Service.
- Uniform Specifications:
• All uniforms shall be cut from well-proportioned patterns to ensure a proper and comfortable fit.
• All buttons shall be made of melamine or similar break-resistant material.
• All zippers shall be extra heavy industrial laundry type with polyester tape.
• All grippers or snap fasteners shall be stainless steel.
• All stitching shall be made with polyester core thread.
• The city must approve the city logo to be affixed or stitched onto all shirts and jackets.
1. Glue and other adhesives will not be accepted.
2. All patching and threading on FR garments must be of the same FR material.
3. Certain items may have the city logo directly embroidered, rather than a patch.
4. The city will provide the artwork, dimensions, and color for the city logo.
5. Design of the labels and city emblem must receive prior approval by an authorized member of city staff before the initial issue. • For the purpose of this solicitation and resulting contract, a “uniform” shall consist of one pair of trousers and two shirts (one long-sleeved and one short-sleeved, where applicable). Exceptions may be made to this standard.
• based on a five (5)-day work week, the total requirement is eleven (11) sets per individual to provide proper rotation for laundering on a weekly basis.
