The vendor is required to provide a high-performance video wall system to meet the operational requirements of its dispatch and communications center.
- The department dispatch and communications center are a 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365-days a year operation and the video wall system shall have the ability to display various components of department operations such as camera systems, emergency alerts, alarms, reports, and weather.
- Furnish and deliver one (1) new video wall system with the following technical specifications:
a. Video wall display
• Technology: shall be seamless, direct-view led panel system.
• Pixel pitch: shall be less than or equal to 1.5mm for high-resolution clarity.
• Brightness: shall be greater than or equal to 500 NITS for indoor environments with ambient lighting.
• Viewing angle: shall be greater than or equal to 160-degree horizonal and vertical for wide visibility.
• Mounting: shall be front-serviceable and slim-profile design for wall integration.
• Control system: shall be compatible with industry-standard video processors and software.
• Shall be 18-feet wide x 5-feet, 6-inches high (viewing area).
• Shall be elevated 4-feet from the floor.
b. Display mounting frame
• Shall be free-standing.
• Shall be 20-feet wide x 12-feet, 6-inches high.
• Shall support the video wall display.
• Mounting units shall be elevated 4-feet from the floor.
c. Video wall control system
• Shall be a centralized control system.
• Shall have seamless operation, source switching and content management.
• Shall have a video wall processor/controller with the following features:
o Support multiple input sources such as HDMI, DisplayPort, SDI, and IP streaming.
o Display multiple content windows simultaneously.
o Scalable architecture to accommodate future expansion.
o 1080p or higher processing capability with real-time rendering.
o Integrated or standalone hardware-based video wall processor.
• Shall have control software with the following features:
o Able to configure and display content across all video wall displays as a continuous video wall or individual displays with multiple layout options
o User-friendly interface with drag-and-drop layout control.
o Ability to create and save multiple display configurations.
o Remote access via a web interface or dedicated control application.
o Support for scheduling content playback.
o Able to display content from Genetec and Lenel computer applications.
o Supports app integrations for social media, news, and workplace tools
o Any agreement related to the providing of the control software shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor.
o The university shall not be required to execute any agreement related to the control software.
• Shall have a user control interface with the following feature:
o Physical control panel with customizable hardware buttons for instant source switching.
o Device to allow seamless control between video wall system and dispatch desktops.
• Shall have redundancy and security with the following features:
o Dual power supply for uninterrupted operation.
o Secure user authentication for access control.
o logging and monitoring of system status and usage.
d. Installation of video wall display to display mounting frame
o Install and align led panel system for a seamless display.
o Ensure proper cable management, including signal and power cabling, to maintain a clean and organized setup.
o Install and configure the video wall processor/controller and ensure compatibility with input sources.
o Integrate control system components (touch panel, software interface, automation controls)
• Video wall system configuration and calibration
o Configure video wall processor settings, including resolution, refresh rate, and scaling.
o Align and calibrate display brightness, contrast, and color uniformity across all panels.
o Set up the control interface and pre-configure commonly used display layouts.
o Test all input sources for proper display functionality and seamless switching.
