The vendor is required to provide for the state earn to learn nursing education acceleration program (ETL).
- As previously stated, all project proposals must showcase an academic and clinical partnership with the intent to enhance nursing education through coordinated educational training, paid clinical experience, and mentorship for registered nurse (RN) and licensed practical nurse (LPN) students.
- Department acknowledges that eligible proposals will come from applicants operating along a continuum of establishing an ETL nursing education model.
- Some applicants will begin the 12-month project period focused developing the infrastructure to formally create the paid job role for student nurses while others will begin by establishing immersive, nurse mentor-led clinical experiences for nurse trainees at a new location or with newly established clinical partners.
- Applicants further along the ETL implementation path should describe any existing protocols, processes or infrastructure, such as information about their ETL advisory group (if established) or descriptions of any RN or LPN mentor roles.
- Regardless of where you fall on the continuum, all applicants must demonstrate commitments to:
• Increasing RN and LPN student enrollment
• Building nursing faculty capacity
• Expanding clinical rotation sites
• Increasing the number of RN and LPN graduates in state
• Improving newly graduated RN and LPN readiness to practice
