The Vendor is required to provide the conflict administrator shall include:
• Be readily available by email or phone during normal business hours;
• Maintain and manage a roster of criminal defense attorneys, who are approved by the county office of the public defender, to provide services in conflict cases;
• Assign cases to conflict attorneys.
• Conflict attorneys’ ability, training, and experience should match the nature and complexity of the case to which he or she is assigned.
• The conflict administrator will agree to follow the principles set forth in proposed commission standard 7 when making assignments;
• Maintain timely and excellent communication with both the county office of the public defender and the conflict roster attorneys to provide excellent representation and ensure compliance with commission standards;
• Collect and review invoices from conflict counsel and forward to county office of the public defender for payment;
• Collect data to confirm compliance with all commission standards;
• Provide communication to the conflict roster attorneys regarding developments in policies or procedures;
• Assign cases to conflict attorneys.
• Conflict attorneys’ ability, training, and experience should match the nature and complexity of the case to which he or she is assigned.
• The conflict administrator will agree to follow the principles set forth in proposed commission standard 7 when making assignments;
• Assist the public defender office in conducting evaluations of conflict counsel;
• Provide services in accordance with funding parameters approved by the commission.
