The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services for its outpatient programs, including but not limited to the county access clinics and the county assertive community treatment/community support program, as well as other county funded patients as applicable.
- Injection services: provide in-home and in-pharmacy administration of injectable medications (depot or long-acting injection) and vaccines by qualified staff.
- Delivery: vendor will provide multiple options for timely (72 hours or fewer) delivery, including in-pharmacy, treatment team pickup, mail order, and home delivery.
- Pharmacy returns and credits: provide a method of credit and return for unadministered long-acting injections and non-used, non-opened blister packs.
- Pharmacy disposal: provide drug disposal services.
- Verification of benefits coverage:
• Mandatory check: every medication dispensing requires pharmacy staff to verify the patient’s benefits coverage, regardless of their prescription history or status.
• Confirmation of behavioral health services (BHS) coverage: after confirming that an individual has no other pay or source, pharmacy staff must verify the client’s inclusion on the shared allowed patient list.
- Voucher system: manage dispensing based on BHS issued vouchers.
- Prescription accessibility: accept electronic prescriptions via sure scripts.
- Medication packaging: provide medication in unit dose and/or multi-dose blister packs (bubble pack) upon order of the physician.
