The Vendor is required to provide professional services for testing, construction administration, and observation for the city.
- Services include:
• Physically visit the construction site every day that construction of city infrastructure occurs, including times when specific tasks are being completed.
• Perform reporting and photographic documentation of daily construction activities.
• Provide project construction and materials testing as stipulated per the approved plans/specifications.
• Document any construction conflicts with proposed construction plans.
• Provide daily updates to city staff while work is occurring.
• Provide a monthly report summarizing work that was accomplished.
• Laboratory testing of materials needs to be accomplished in-house by a lab inspected by CCRL (cement and concrete reference laboratory) and is accredited by association and institute.
• Provide construction observation and administration of geotechnical investigations, construction inspection/administration, quality assurance testing, etc.
• Observe and perform necessary compaction testing of infrastructure that will be used by city electric facilities, such as duct banks, conduit sleeves, roadway accesses, transformers, and substation building pads, but will not be required to inspect electrical code items.
• Perform geotechnical exploratory testing and analysis.
• Provide construction administration and observation as a third-party consultant to the city.
• Review as-built record drawings.
• Scope and allowance to be reviewed by city staff and negotiated prior to the execution of the contract.
• Prepare and provide benefit-cost analysis upon request.
