The Vendor is required to provide preventative maintenance (PM) and breakdown support services to be provided by the vendor on a quarterly basis for the forklifts used at county recycling center.
- The forklifts are operated daily to load and unload trucks and to transport bales of commodities including plastic, aluminum, cardboard, steel, and tin between designated locations on-site.
- PM Services shall include (but are not limited to):
• Inspection of all fluid levels and top-offs
• Engine and hydraulic oil changes
• Inspect lift for signs of external leakage, hydraulic connections and cylinder seals
• Air, fuel, and oil filter replacement
• Inspect the load forks for cracks, breaks, bending etc.
• Brake system inspection and adjustment
• Inspection and greasing of mast and chains
• Battery/electric system check (for electric forklifts)
• Tire condition inspection
• Safety system functionality check (horn, lights, seatbelt, etc.)
• Forks and lifting mechanism inspection
• General cleaning and wear/damage check
- Breakdown Service to include (but are not limited to):
• On-site diagnostic and repair services
• Access to necessary parts and tools
• Communication of repair timeline and expected downtime.
