RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide student health (SHS) services provides low-cost medical, mental health, crisis, and therapy services to university students at university campus in the Sorensen student center.
- Include for services:
• Provide a clear plan for ensuring integration of our current SHS- medical services employees into outsourcing arrangements.
• Provide an appropriate tentative timeline for implementation of an outsourcing plan by July 1,
2025.
• Provide ambulatory care to meet the diverse needs of university student population which include in-person and telemed options for appointment based medical services for at least the services outlined and additional services which may include expanded hours of operations, walk in appointments, urgent care, telemedicine, and expanded care such as physical therapy and chiropractic care.
• Support the university’s academic mission, health, health education and prevention programs, and other assistance to the university community.
• Meet a standard of care
• Refer student patients to other healthcare providers and specialists if needed.

• Work collaboratively with the university to review, develop, and improve the health program’s operations, services, policies, and procedures.
• Establish a business operating plan including: experienced and professionally trained healthcare staff; readily accessible healthcare to students; information technology systems for primary care delivery, patient management, appointment systems, and third-party billing for insurance reimbursement, accounting and legal services, quality initiatives, and a marketing plan.
• Implement insurance reimbursement for patient users through third party billing and a plan for those who are uninsured.
• Provide periodically a patient complaint report that complies with act.
• Provide and maintain a website, including links for a secure patient web portal
. employ all personnel necessary to operate medical services.
• Submit reports on student patient visits and financial operating information to the university
work through the senior director of student health services who will represent the university and liaison with the provider to ensure students are receiving the care expected.
• Prioritize access- describe your ability and willingness to utilize a patient access system that assigns some level of priority to university students. ideally, students with acute needs will be seen same-day; those with subacute needs within 24 hours of request for care.
• Security- data privacy and web accessibility
• Describe your ability and willingness to collaborate with various university programs and constituents for required testing, screening, vaccinations, and other needs, as well as educational opportunities.
- The university budget office is $16.49 x 54,000 students = $890,460.
