The Vendor is required to provide for updated signage in multiple city locations.
- Services includes both design and installation of various types, sizes, and locations of signs at multiple locations.
- These locations have existing signage infrastructure that should be updated with Smyrna’s new logo and color palette.
- These graphic design requirements are intended to establish basic dimensions and appearance of signs.
- Key Design Considerations:
• Legibility: signs should be easy to read from a distance, even in various lighting conditions.
• Simplicity: avoid clutter and keep the design uncluttered for ease of comprehension.
• Accessibility: adhere to ADA guidelines and other accessibility standards to ensure signs are usable by people with disabilities.
• Color palette: use the color scheme that reflects the city's brand and is visually appealing.
• Font choice: font designated by brand guidelines.
• Materials: choose durable and weather-resistant materials that can withstand outdoor conditions.
• Installation: ensure signs are installed securely.
- Provide a submittal of signage proposed to the city for approval prior to fabrication and installation.
- The successful contractor shall keep the premises and the adjoining premises, driveways and streets clean of rubbish caused by the demolition operations, and at the completion of the work shall include removal of all rubbish, tools, equipment, temporary work and surplus materials, from and about the premises.
- All rubbish and debris shall be disposed of offsite.
- The job site shall be left safe, neat and clean at the completion of each day’s operation.
- Provide a written five (5) year full replacement warranty to the city that all signs will be free of defects due to craftsmanship including, but not limited to:
• Bubbling, chalking, rusting or other disintegration of the sign panel, graphics or of the edges.
• Corrosion appearing beneath paint and vinyl surfaces, on sign panels, brackets, posts or other support assemblies (except as an obvious result of vandalism or other external damage).
• Corrosion of fasteners.
• The assemblies not remaining true and plumb on their supports.
• Peeling, delamination or warping (“oil canning”).
• Repair and reinstallation of signage due to failed mountings.
