RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide for media monitoring services that meet high standards of excellence at the lowest cost.
- As part of the Strategic Media services, we offer a daily media scan of the agency media coverage to upper management and strategic partners in the government.
- An accurate web-based solution for media monitoring is required to ensure a good understanding of the public perceptions related to topics of importance to the institution.
- Using a web-based solution, agency staff monitor various English and French-state media sources (print, online, TV, radio, and social media) every day for mentions of the agency, its assets and key issues in the national capital region to our media scan list of 330 people with detailed keywords.
- Provide a user-friendly, thorough online tool to monitor media and social media coverage and produce daily media scan and analysis.
- The Strategic Media team prepares daily media clippings which are distributed to management, staff and stakeholders.
- Objectives
o    Monitoring of state English and French language major daily newspapers, regional newspapers, weekly and community newspapers, specialized magazines and, online news sources.
o    Monitoring radio and television broadcasting in state provinces and territories. Includes access to audio and video clips, and verbatim (speech to text) and/or closed caption transcripts.
o    Measure the quantity and quality (tone) of the media coverage and create media monitoring report.
o    Measure the effectiveness (engagement) of our social media channel.
- Services include:
o    Monitor the agency media presence (and its assets) in all major regional, provincial, national, and international print and online media, including Postmedia publications such as national post, citizen.
o    Provide a user-friendly tool with newsletter functionality to prepare daily press clippings for print, television, online media and social media;
o    Monitor the media presence of the agency (and its assets) in regional, provincial, national and international radio and television media;
o    Provide real-time alerts for media monitoring regarding media mentions of the agency;
o    Monitor social media conversations regarding the agency and its assets;
o    Monitor key issues and regional issues in the media and report breaking news;
o    Provide analysis and performance reports, including media coverage of sentiment.
