The Vendor is required to provide nurses and social workers services for include:
- Registered nurse
1. Intake and screening
• Identifying emergent and urgent health care needs.
• Identifying and managing injuries, intoxication, psychosis, potential for being contagious
• Obtaining a comprehensive medical and psychiatric history to identify needed interventions.
• Identifying follow up services for chronic care, mental health services, dental services, chaplain services, medication verification, medical records from outside providers
2. Medication administration,
• Ordering medication.
• Managing sick calls for non-emergent health care needs within 24 hours of sick calls and an evaluation.
3. Clinical care
• Taking vital signs before, during or provider appointments.
• Coordinating appointments with healthcare professionals.
• Providing initial health assessments, which includes, but is not limited to, receiving and reviewing screening information, asking detailed questions regarding identified issues, performing physical examinations, referring to people address immediate needs with appropriate level of care.
4. Emergency response
• Includes, but is not limited to, checking emergency bags or carts every shift and delivering emergency care

• Prescribing medications
• Identifying and monitoring for potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Managing sick calls for non-emergent health care needs within 24 hours of sick calls and an evaluation.
3. Clinical care
• Taking vital signs before, during or provider appointments.
• Coordinating appointments with healthcare professionals.
• Providing initial health assessments, which includes, but is not limited to, receiving and reviewing screening information, asking detailed questions regarding identified issues, performing physical examinations, referring persons to address immediate needs with appropriate level of care.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work.
4. Performing procedures,
• Includes, but not limited to, performing certain medical procedures such as suturing, administering injections, and conducting minor surgical procedures.
5. Managing chronic conditions
• Managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, provide comprehensive care.
6. Developing treatment and plans
• Developing, implementing individualized treatment plans that include lifestyle modification and other non-pharmacologic treatments.
