The Vendor is required to provide the university with temporary skilled and unskilled laborers in areas such as custodial and housekeeping, landscaping, grounds, and other building trades to help support facilities management departments as needed.
- Housing and Food Services Requirements
• At a minimum, all University employees, including contracted temporary labor employees, must abide by:
• Personal cleanliness & good hygiene practices – frequently and properly washing their hands, properly bathed; short and clean fingernails, and properly uses gloves
• Proper work attire –clean hat or other required hair restraint, clean clothing, and in uniform (tops/bottoms/other) according the assigned work area; no/limited jewelry.
• Appropriate shoes (color-usually black), no open-toes (steel-toed, when necessary), preferably non-slip.
• No smoking, even e-cigarettes, on University property.
• Abide by limited use of cell phones – to breaks or for emergencies, while on the clock.
• Tattoo or piercing guidelines (based on the venue); hair coloring – based on the venue. You will be notified in advance of any restrictions in these areas.
• Physical demands: bending, lifting, stooping, carrying-up to 40 LBS, walking and standing for long periods of time, pushing/pulling up to 110 lbs. occasionally, etc.
