Small Sign Support Systems

The vendor is required to provide that small sign support systems in accordance with the bid specifications outlined herein.
- The xcessories squared triangular slip bases, the ultimate highway solutions slip-mate triangular slip bases, the nucor steel marion lap splice and slip safe breakaway systems, the franklin industries eze-erect and base-bolt breakaway systems, the tapco v-loc breakaway system, the atkore break-out sign post system and the design ovations snap'n safe breakaway sign post systems shall be functionally equivalent to materials tested and accepted by meeting nchrp-350 or mash breakaway requirements.
- U-channel drive posts shall be securely strapped or wired in bundles for delivery as follows: 2lb posts - 50 posts per bundle, nested and stacked; 3 lb. posts - 50 posts per bundle, nested and stacked.
- Posts per bundle, nested and stacked; 3 lb./ft posts - 50 posts per bundle, nested and stacked. square tubes shall be securely strapped or wired in bundles for delivery as follows: 25 square tubes per bundle.
- 3" anchor sleeve:
• The anchor sleeve shall be of 7-gauge 1010 steel with an outside dimension of 3" square, and a wall thickness of 3/16" with a length as specified.
• The anchor sleeve shall have two 7/16" diameter holes on adjacent sides at approximately ¾" from the top of the sleeve to the center of the holes.
- Drive rivets:
• Drive rivets shall be of 2117 aluminum or zinc alloy standard cadmium plated steel, with a 7/8" head, 3/8" shank and ¼" minimum grip range.
• Blind rivets shall be southco part # tl3806, or functional equivalent.
- Corner bolts:
• Corner bolts shall be of grade 2 standard cadmium plated steel.
• Corner bolts shall come in sizes to fit 2", 2¼" and 2½" square steel tubing.
- Tee fittings:
• Tee fittings shall be unistrut part number tl015 or functional equivalent
- Angle fittings:
• Angle fittings shall be unistrut part number tl016 or functional equivalent.
- Yield assembly:
• Yield assemblies shall be unistrut part number tl133 or functional equivalent.
