The Vendor is required to provide training for two (2) or more walkthrough weapons detection systems and two (2) or more autonomous conveyer belt scanners at the District’s
- Weapons detection systems must be fully automated with a high rate of student, staff, and visitor screening capacity.
- Weapons detection system must visually display items in carrier.
- Weapons detection system should not be solely reliant on AI.
- System must be capable of automatically detecting weapons including those that may be concealed on a person as well as inside objects including but not limited to backpacks, gym bags, purses, laptop bags, and briefcases. It will detect guns, knives, and explosives as well as components of weapons, such as a slide of a handgun, or a barrel of a rifle.
- System must have the capability to add additional items to the AI list.
- System must be able to automatically ignore normal, harmless personal items without the individual passing through the system having to unpack or empty backpacks, purses, laptop bags, briefcases, pockets, etc. Discriminates against everyday items such as keys, cell phones, belt buckles, water bottles. No divesting of these items as needed.
- System should be less than 50lbs. and be able to be moved to a different location by district personnel when the need arises.
- The x-ray machine must have caster wheels (moveable) and must be able to fit through a standard doorway and not be any wider than 32” and not have a height over 78”.
- System should be rated for indoor/outdoor use.
- Systems should have the ability to self-diagnose and alert individuals or malfunctions so that repairs can be made in a timely manner and minimize system downtime.
- Ability to export data and visual to easily enable sharing with colleagues and leadership team.
- Must provide comprehensive, hands-on training for all staff members responsible for operating and monitoring the metal detectors. This training must include, at a minimum: proper setup and calibration procedures, adjusting system sensitivity, recognizing and responding to alerts interpreting system data and visuals, performing routine maintenance, conducting operational tests, and following safety protocols.
- Must provide specialized training for District technology staff on advanced troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and data export functions. The District reserves the right to request refresher sessions or additional training modules in the future as operational needs evolve.
