2. Software and OS:
• Windows operating systems
• Microsoft system center operations manager
• Linux operating systems
• Sun solaris
• VMware
• Veeam
• Red hat
• Windows active directory.
• Microsoft hyper-v
• Sybase and other enterprise database engines
• Centerity, solar-winds and Cisco prime
• Atlas - an enterprise ticketing, logistics and agency management system
• Harris proprietary applications.
- Participating in the following types of activities:
1. Testing
• Developing and executing test plans for the acceptance of system upgrades, enhancements and major system uplifts,
• Developing and executing test plans for the acceptance of manufacturer- supplied upgrades, enhancements and major system uplifts,
• Developing and executing test plans for first responder agency migration and ongoing support,
• Developing and executing test plans to ensure system operational readiness,
• Developing and executing test plans for business continuity and disaster recovery.
2. Operational readiness:
• Analyzing and reporting on the gap between existing capabilities and the needs of the system operational service that will meet service objectives,
• Working with the other members of the system network support team to implement configurations, modifications, and upgrades to close the gap described above, and achieve a reliable and future-proof system.
• Patching and upgrading industry standard products including applications from cisco, Microsoft, VMware, veeam and red hat.
• Maintaining the electronic and information technology systems to support and achieve operational readiness, modifications for first responder agency migrations, and steady state maintenance, including patch and service pack deployment, back-up and recovery of servers and services and user account management.
