Seeking a software solution capable of delivering utility-grade weather forecasting, real-time meteorologist support, and a configurable decisionmaking dashboard to enhance operational planning and storm response.
- Solution will provide real-time meteorological expertise, advanced modeling, accessible data tools, integrated forecasting capabilities, and enduser support.
- On-Demand Meteorologist Support. The solution shall provide 24/7/365 access to professional meteorologists for real-time consultation, event duration guidance, and forecast interpretation. These services shall be available before, during, and after major storm events.
- Informational Weather Briefings. The solution shall deliver comprehensive weather briefings before, during, and after storm events to ensure stakeholders remain informed of ongoing and anticipated weather conditions. A meteorologist shall coordinate with Austin Energy personnel to provide weather briefings of incoming inclement weather and review timing, impacts, and duration of the event. Live briefings with Austin Energy shall include visuals to accompany the briefings, and the visuals shall be sent to Austin Energy within a hour after the briefing concludes. The visuals shall be in the form of a powerpoint presentation, either in the .ppt or .pdf format.
- Data Query and Download Capabilities. Users shall have the ability to query and download historical weather datasets, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, precipitation, solar radiation, and forecast data. These tools will support post-event analysis and data-driven decision making.
